A Hodgepodge of Information

My site died…for a long time. And I was very, very sad.
I don’t even know what happened…and maybe my fiance fixed it…but I checked today…really not expecting anything … and wha-la! My site is back. Now if I go home and see the online light on my modem blinking I will be a very, very happy young lady. Mmm-hmmm.
My camera…that part of me that was damaged during the hurricane, has left…crippled, at that, for its first trip away from home. She’s never been away from me before and I worry all the time. I’ll be so glad when we have reunited once again and she can feel my hands cradling her once more. I know this trip was for the best…she needed the kind attention the people at Canon could give her…things I could not do for her. But the seperation is not easy….
Oh yeah…I’m getting married in 47 days. Yup! 2 days after Thanksgiving. I’ve picked out a beautiful wedding dress…simple yet sophisticated…and absolutely lovely!
I also picked out a wedding cake. It is square. I didn’t know how much I likes square shapes until doing all this wedding stuff. I like square cake pans…square dishes and platters…and even square laundry baskets.
Wedding stuff is fun! I’m afraid I’m enjoying it tremendously. And we are having a teeny, tiny, simple wedding…so I’m not so incredibly overwhelmed with “stuff”. (I know I’m using the word stuff alot but I don’t know what to call all the wedding stuff other than stuff!)
Ah…gift registery. That was fun. Poor Joshua. I don’t think he had nearly as much fun as I did…but you should see the beautiful Wedgewood China…ahhh. It’s delightful! Anyway…Josh just followed me around…amused actually. I was like a kid in a candy shop. I think I registered for seven throws. Do I need seven throws? Probably not…but they were quite pretty!
Anyway…anytime Joshua had an idea or suggestion…well, I kinda shot him down. He was a very gracious loser though, I must admit! Not that I think he really cares too much about the curtians in the dining room or whether I get eight or twelve goblets. (Oh….beautiful goblets!)
And the honeymoon has been booked. Gatlinburg, TN. A nice cozy cabin with a mountain view. Lovely!
So, yes. A hodge podge of information. Sorry about the ramblings of a soon to be bride…but I must say… my upcoming wedding has taken up quite a bit of my thought life! And I am terribly excited! I do wish my camera was working…I’d show you my most beautiful engagement ring! Ah well. Another time!
Buh-bye for now!
