Okay, so I saw this meme over at Sallie’s place and thought it would be perfect. I’m a week away from attending my 10 Year class reunion, so I’ve been thinking back to my school days.

Here goes…

Apple Jacks or Captain Crunch with Crunch Berries
Neither. Rice Krispies or Cheerios.

Band or Choir
Both at one time or another. Band in 6th grade. I played the clarinet. Choir in 8th and 9th grade.

Class Ring
Yes. I bought mine at a local jeweler called Evans. It was antique gold with an aquamarine stone. There was a cross in the stone. On the side was a basketball with my number, #25 and Center written on it.

Ducks or Battleships
I’ve probably played with every bathtub toy imaginable. I’m thinking at one time or another I’ve played with both.

Earning Money
Babysitting. Lots of babysitting. Cleaning the church. Keeping score at Little League baseball games. Cleaning my aunts and grandmas houses. And I was a sandwich artist, at Subway.

Favorite Teacher
Roxie Hatten, my second grade teacher, Mary Webb, my general and advanced biology teacher, and Mike Cain, my chemistry teacher. Wonderful ladies!

Go Back and Do Over
Ummm….I wouldn’t date in high school. Absolutely not!

Home Economics
Not required and not interested.

Indoor Recess
I liked indoor recess fine. I preferred outdoor recess though.

Jacks or Jump Rope
Never managed the jacks. Jump rope it is.

Kickball or Dodgeball
Both rock.

Lunchbox
Strawberry Shortcake, metal lunchbox, with a matching thermos.

Musical
Believe it or not, yes. I was a towns person and an Indian in The Music Man. What fun!

Number of School Districts
Stone County School District only. For twelve years.

Orange or Apple
Oranges. Yummy!

Playground Equipment
The seesaw was a blast. And swings. NOT the monkey bars. I never could figure out how to do that…

Quiz Team or Debate
Quiz team. But I wasn’t that great.

Recess
Kickball, football, basketball, putting together plays, playing house, chatting with friends….

Spring Break
Florida on several occasions. With my family a few times and the choir once.

Team Sports
Basketball baby!!

Unfulfilled Dream
Well, I don’t consider it unfulfilled now…just changed. But I wanted to be a Child Psychologist growing up. I had big dreams of owning a clinic that was non-profit for kids. It would have music therapy and art therapy classes. Now, I have no desire for such a thing…although it sounds nice.

Valuable
These guys. They rock. Most of them are high school buddies. Or even jr. high or elementary school buddies. I am fortunate!

Walk or Bus
Ah. But my mother was a teacher. So I rode with her. I had my own truck in high school though. Lucky me!

X Country or Basketball
Basketball but I ran 5K’s as well. Our school didn’t have a track team or I would have run cross country.

Year
My favorite years were 8th and 12th. It’s always great being the senior.

Zzzzzz’s
My Spanish class was the pits. And I ended up missing health in 9th grade, and had to take it in 12th grade, with all the freshmen. Not cool.
